THE FOUNDER
Bernice L. McKenzie, a small business entrepreneur, was born on March 16 in Petersburg, Virginia. As a young girl, Bernice wasn't into fashionable shoes and jewelry; however, after graduating from college, Bernice started to have a fiery eye for style, fashion and elegant jewelry and shoes, and was inspired to have her own business. She realized, in the Tri-cities' area, everyone wore the same jewelry and nothing was different. Everyone was shopping at the same stores for accessories. Bernice wanted women to look unique, and she had to find jewelry that was stylish and accessories for women. That's just what she did!
In July of 2009, Bernice remembers sitting on the couch at her best friend MeKeisha Gray's home. While engaged in a casual conversation, Bernice announced that she wanted to start her own business and decided to call it D'Zirable Shoes & Accessories LLC. Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart."(Psalm 37:4). Today, Bernice orders one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry that harmonizes with the human form with ease and elegance, expressing the wearer's individuality. Since receiving her business license in May of 2010, Bernice has served customers nationally and internationally.
